FIGHTING BACK..?

*It's pretty pointless bitching and moaning about the mischief caused here by the Dickwad next door. Suffice to say both the GW and myself have had more than the usual amount of problems with the interwebz this morning...*
I've just taken Cola out for a pee, and I have to smile at how I could ever have mistaken the Wireless Song for crickets... Is it the positioning of our home that makes it quite so loud, or is it even more invasive at it's source? The faint squeak of a nearby 'nunu' started up, and I greeted it aloud with glee and frightened it into immediate silence..*grins..
By now you'll have seen that Johan Booysen's suspension was overturned yesterday, and that he's back in charge of the Hawks.. Right now the last thing you want is to be a genuinely Good cop, and I guess Johan Stolz made the right decision when he took early retirement... While the surveillance technology has made it that much simpler to nail the criminal element, the fact that Spence and Sutcliffe were instrumental in including a Druglord in the handover of power, has seen to it that the seriously bigtime Crooks are still able to keep one jump ahead of what passes for the Law...
Will Booysen sue Police management for 8 million, due to his reputation having suffered trauma and injury as a result of this engineered fiasco? Sounds familiar does it not? *studies the skin-crawling ex-City Manager...

I find it laughable that the charges against you involve a paltry l.1million of rate-payer's money, and that no mention at all is made of the far bigger crimes you've committed on your watch.. Who was it that encouraged you to test run the Wireless surveillance technology on your own colleagues back in 2004/5? Who was it that sat you down and explained that it would be wise to steal as much private information as you could early on, as insurance against the day that foul weather arrived? *fascinated...
Was there a silver-tongued strategist from the telecoms industry involved at any point? And no Jannie, I'm not pointing at you specifically for a change, although you know way more than you've ever let on... *winks..
The thing of it is, that the Invasion of Privacy scheme could never work without the cozy collaboration between Telkom and the various Municipalities across the country.. That without the phone giant's white wireless boxes stuck up on a pole nearby, you can forget about monitoring the actual conversations of the witless man-in-the-street.... You'll surely recall how Balliram took offence when I'd repeatedly remarked that he spent an inordinate amount of time in our bedroom? He was gaining easy access by using the wireless box that was eventually stuck on the telephone pole at the corner of our property in the valley...
I'd quite rightly queried whether his unfortunate Missus was aware of the hours he spent furtively eavesdropping on our most private of moments, and he'd eventually retaliated by having the box vandalised HERE...
As with so many other impulsive errors he's made, he found that he'd shot himself in the foot, and the box was repaired quite smartly HERE.. They're not as important to the Surveillance Project as I would have you believe? Rubbish! They're vital, if the Area Controllers are to actually hear the sounds and conversations made in the privacy of your home.. Only check out the recent wanton destruction to the trees bordering our property and Balliram's, to see the resulting improved line of sight between our box and Freddie's, and you may begin to grasp just how important those plastic boxes are..*blinks...
You get the irony of it all, at last? That the scurvy Town Planner, who happily signed us over to the Druglord Michael Barnabas' control, with the assistance of his Superintendent of Electricity for Durban, now has the audacity to chirp that HIS privacy has been invaded, and his reputation tarnished.. *chokes..
Pull the other one, Herr Doktor.... You were priviliged to test-drive this invasive technology and you made the most of it, and I'm betting that as early as 2005 you'd have been made aware of the risks involved to Joe Public, when B. Snr had been struck down in his own garden twice in as many months..*spews...
Did you call an immediate halt to the installation of the Wireless over Powerlines operations at that point? Did you set up an enquiry as to how this could have happened? Hah!!
Did you make it your business to check out Earl Michael Barnabas' background before you gave Spence the nod to embellish our streetlights and tutor Balliram in the art of using your sophisticated computer program? Did the Druglord's cover hold tight, or did you immediately see through the carefully constructed disguise to what lurked beneath? I'm betting it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference either way, as you were totally enchanted by your new-found ability to eavesdrop on your own colleagues *nauseated...
And here we are, years later, and you've now apparently taken offence that this sophisticated technology has been used against you yourself... Offence to the tune of 8million, in fact... *grins...
Your family have been unjustly included in the salacious accusations that are doing the rounds? Man, my heart bleeds for you. NOT.
Is young Warren struggling financially to make a new life for himself over in Oz, or is he still sitting comfortably enjoying the proceeds of the nepotism you blatantly practised? Was Felicity reduced to taking a 9 to 5 job in order to maintain her cushy standard of living? My guess would be no to both..
My guess would be that you've forked over millions of the loot that you managed to accrue during your term of office, to the two people you've offended the most...
It's going to get seriously messy out there Mikey, and you want to be very careful whose names you pull out of the Leverage Files that you've collected over the years.... Hell, you can't be jailed for your personal preferences, but you might as well be dead, if it all comes out in the open...
Will the Project Authors step in and save you, in grateful recognition of your stunningly successful efforts to degrade our City and surrounds? Dammit, but they'd better? Or what, Mr. Sutcliffe? Or what? It appears that you're as much a puppet as we are.. A puppet whose shelf-life has expired, as the Authors move on to the next phase of wiring up the country.
It's now 5.45am, and light outside as the nearby hadedas protest vehemently against the sudden invasion of their air space.. I'd almost stumbled over a toad in the dark, out on the front lawn last weekend.. His skin appeared black, and I couldn't bring myself to fetch a torch and study him further.. There was another healthier looking individual in the courtyard the night before last. How long before he/she turns that remarkable acid-yellow colour like THIS one found in the hadeda pool a couple of years ago, or black like the chap on my front lawn?
Slow thinker that I am, I realise now that I should've boxed the poor creature and taken pictures of him for my album, and I shall rectify that oversight at the very next opportunity I'm afforded... *teeth..
Though many of you won't need convincing that Balliram's malice continues unabated, albeit a fraction more cautiously in some areas, for the benefit of the few who foolishly consider him reformed, you may care to explain what's up with our Kaspersky anti-virus program...?
It's a given that BigEars heard me discussing it's ongoing strange behaviour yesterday, and that by now he should have an explanation in place that you will happily swallow...
You may recall that I frequently bitched about the length of time it took for Kaspersky to run a Full scan? How it had regularly taken a whopping three and three quarter hours to complete?
The last time I'd enabled a Full scan had been roughly three weeks ago, and it had inexplicably taken a mind-numbing eight hours to finish..It goes without saying that I don't recall it finding and reporting on any problems, for yonks... As a result, I've avoided doing a full scan for a fortnight, and we've stumbled along by using the Critical Areas scan and keeping it updated daily...
The night before last the GameWrecker thought he'd give it a whirl, and would you believe it completed the full scan in a mere two and a half hours, and found NO problems? It's bad news for the Kaspersky re-sellers to find that for the many tech retarded users, it's as easily corrupted and manipulated as Norton ever was...
I'd finished updating my blog last night and had asked the GW whether I was to leave the PC on for him, and he'd said yes.. To disconnect from the interwebz, but not shut down the computer itself...
So I'd joined him in front of the telly for a while, before I'd noticed that the harddrive light had become exceptionally busy.. I tried at that point to explain to my old man that our computer ws being used as a bloody classroom by Balliram, in his efforts to teach the locals the art of hacking, and that leaving it on ensured that it was being accessed by any number of yobbos... It was probably just to keep the peace and shut me up that my SO didn't argue and said to switch if off, which I did immediately.. *grins...
Right now it's 6.30am and there's not so much as a whisper of BackFire or Broken Wrists.. When I'd climbed off Cloud 9 after 3.30am there'd been the usual wall of the BackFire frequency trapped in the passage, kitchen, and next to my bed, though standing next to the telly there'd oddly enough, been nothing at all.. *blinks...
It apparently suits you to believe that this Rubbish has tempered his assaults on our homes.. Sies vir julle almal... *spits...
OTOH it looks to be a stunning day, out and I intend making the most of it, despite the Pig's ongoing efforts to destroy us... *beams....
