TAKEN TO THE MOUNTAIN.....
(begun Friday 30th May at 7.55am)
To those that consider I dramatise the commonplace and banal? Your own tunnel-vision is a liability and I suggest you expand you're thinking or you will miss the bus altogether....*cackles..
I had barely hit Publish on this morning's contribution, when the next chapter in the ongoing tale of Corruption began to unfold....*grins...
The Treasurer rang unexpectedly before 7.00am to say the Assessment Centre had been hit again overnight and this time, they had lost all their computers.
Once again I put the cart before the horse to confuse you....*sighs....
The GameWrecker had gone to run his bath after 6.00am this morning and announced that the water pressure was non-existent.
When the Treasurer had called a while later about the breakin, I asked her whether she had water higher up the Crescent.
She replied that she had gone out much later than usual at 11.00pm last night, to lock her front gate. The road was awash with water and on investigation, she'd found it to be bubbling out in front of the Assessment Centre.
Only later this morning did she learn from a relative of the Councillor's cousin that a burglary had taken place....*shrugs....
The deliberate surging of our individual water line on Tuesday at midnight was a preliminary test before the real goal was achieved higher up the road at some point last night?
I'd got in just before 10.00pm last night and there had been no leak visible. The GameWrecker went up to chain the gates shortly afterwards, in time to see His Dodginess swing in next door, after what was no doubt a profitable tracking/monitoring session on the Hill...*hawks...
By the time the Treasurer went out to her gates again at around 11.00pm, the leak had pretty much just been activated.
How did the thieves at the Assessment Centre know the Water Department wouldn't arrive in time to catch them loading up the stolen PCs? *shakes it's head....
Whichever way you look at it, it's too perfect. Surely you are familiar with the term Organised Crime? *cackling...
The Treasurer reported the Fault after 11.00pm and wekkers were at the leak at the crack of dawn, but have since left....Doubtless they will be back later to make the additions and alterations after the Treasurer has left for work? *laughing.... fosho....
The delicious possibility arises that, if the leak was not caused by a deliberate surge to cover the contractors going in to make adjustments, it may have been due to the malicious surge sent us two nights ago. Accidentally rupturing the lines higher up the road. The possibilities are endless, but always boil down to illegal activities...*falls over laughing...
I had barely begun talking to the Treasurer earlier, when there came a great clatter on the line and then a deathly hush. The line had been dropped? I pressed a button to redial her, but before I could do so, she was back as clear as a bell.
In the haste to eavesdrop, Bali grows clumsier by the minute ROFL!
Later:
You remember kind Hekhmat that lived in Loon road and fell foul of a friend of the Rotten Apples, one Farouk Ahmed? Hekhmat is now helping us with our CPF Fun Day but communicating with him has become a joke.
I have just attempted to send him an sms, only to be given the now oft repeated Message Sending Failed and SIM card Rejected, on my newer Nokia...*snorts...
With vodacom aka The Beast's assistance, it has become a simple matter for these yobs to exact control....*laughing...
Saturday 31st May at 4.00am:
Our little block of residents down this end of the Crescent number 24. Of this number I guess only eight of us have not been invited to join Selebi's Brave New initiative....
That number may yet change....*shrugs...
Ask yourselves why the Treasurer is unaware of this thrilling Project and why, as yet, my good neighbour at No. 10 has not been roped in.
Although his property has certainly been enhanced without his knowledge, with the assistance of his 'friend' Alben, he has yet to be offered the perks to persuade him to leap aboard the gravy train....(see pics)
This situation could change tomorrow, and I watch with interest for the chain-saws to arrive....*cackling...
Later:
I spent the entire evening browsing the myadsl forums last night.
My second visit since our RAM was cooked overnight on 11th May and I had a lot of catching up to do.
My imagination, or does voda3g now post with the authority of a board director? *falls over laughing... As well he may.... sponsored by Telkom se voet!
iBurst owned by vodacom, owned by Telkom, and now we have Neotel also owned by Telkom despite all protestations...*grins...
Kudos to the posters who finally voiced their misgivings on the Telkom advertising. Where were you? That was a LONG wait, but well worth it in the end....*beams...
If I was expected to leave the forum in disgust, when Adblock was deliberately taken down to reveal vodacoms ads in all their glory, it backfired once again....*grins...
IMHO the site has now doubled it's interest value, as I watch the proceedings in fascination....
Will the next t-shirt giveaway be emblazoned with the Beast's own logo? *laughing... Was rpm taken to the mountain? *curious...
I've said many times that my scribbles here are likened to a gnat on an elephant's backside. My credibility is as always minus zero...*cackles...
When I consider the size and strength of the Damage Control team, I am unfazed, and even encouraged to plod on...
Telkom is as powerful as ever it was, as it leads certain Government officials by the nose.... you delude yourself to think otherwise...*nods...
A full page article on Page 13 of our local Rising Sun has me utterly nauseated....
St. Thomas Home for Children is undergoing a revamp.
Yes, Missus van Luyk, it must be hard work and costly, getting the trees chopped down and making the Home Wireless friendly.
The sponsor behind this marvellous upliftment program, Life Entabeni Hospital, says the children need a safe, stimulating environment which is not the case at present....*gags..
About as safe and as stimulating as it is for the innocent kids over the way at St. Theresa's orphanage aka Wireless Base Station? Right.
What additional delights were given to Father Denker and his Trust Committee to persuade him to now allow St. Thomas to be used for Selebi's project? *grim...
The traffic is picking up over on the Freeway bridge despite that it's still dark out. May the day be a happy one for you and yours....
Peace...
