OBLIVION PENDING.....
(begun Sunday at 3.55am)
Did I miss the bait laid out back then? *grins... More than likely.....
Were we supposed to go into overwind the first time that strange window popped up saying no more bandwidth carry over after next month? *shrugs..
It is highly unlikely my post made in OffTopic 'an open letter to ic' was published in it's entirety, if indeed it appeared at all...*snorts...
The 'replies' were well, bizarre to say the least...*laughing..
I felt as if I was in www.mypseudoadsl.co.za for a while there....a feeling that is all too familiar *winks at Bali...
He certainly has had more than enough time to create such an elaborate scenario and Sean Green and iBurst are of course totally dependent on the Beast and will dance to My Master's tune along with the rest....PWNED fosho....*beams..
If, as I suspect, the seed has been planted to remove us from the Internet, so be it...*smiles and shrugs... Twas only a slight glitch in forgetting to fill Hilary in on the scam right? No real harm done there at all...*laughing...
I don't think the GameWrecker realises the far-reaching implications of our current situation and if he does, he chooses not to fret about it and will go like a lamb when the time comes...*grins...
The fact that no official mail has ever landed in the GameWrecker's mailbox from either his isp tradepage or iBurst advising of this change in policy, is of course what makes the entire operation so very dodgy....
We are now logging in via Ian (Doc) Halliday's account to check our bandwidth? *falls over laughing...Classic! *limps on regardless.....
I choose to believe that it is extremely flattering that such lengths have been gone to to silence me... *grins.
I was (amazingly) starting to make too much sense, was I not?
Later:
I forgot - As I waited for myadsl to load last night, I was 'allowed' to briefly see a page behind the one that finally settled on to the screen... hence the very real possibility that we run a www.pseudomyadsl.co.za *laughing...
That this situation has existed for a long time is also quite probable...*shrugs..
Captain Courageous certainly earned his jetski and titanium golf clubs...*cackles... My bet is that he is working on adding to his offshore accounts right now...
Hmm.. maybe Interpol can help us out of Doc Halliday's pocket? Ooops! I fogot! Interpol chose our very own Jackie Selebi as it's Head not that long ago...*rolls on the floor laughing....
He would probably still be holding the position if it wasn't for the pesky public outcry that would ensue...*winks..
I logged on this morning at 5.45am to get a 'connection was reset' message and a windows shield on the task bar....
So I restarted the PC which caused google to again suggest we may have malware or a virus...
The only malware we have for sure is our very own Controller...*beams..
At 5.52am the church bell over at St. Theresa's rang, though not a light could be seen in the tower or the gothic style windows....*coughs... As I was saying......
It's the fortnightly Sherwood CPF Meeting tomorrow night, and it will be interesting to see whether the latest harrassment on the PC is again stepped up. If the Minutes are again not to the liking of the Rotten Apples there will undoubtedly be further glitches....*grins...
My Master and his Cronies clearly think there is no need to have a working relationship with the residents, as the Zone has been run without their help for years....
Later:
My word I love a coincidence!! On Page 10 of yesterday's Independent on Saturday, there is an article on sinusitis AND right next to it, one on tinnitis! * brilliant....
Are people now experiencing the weird symptoms displayed by the local canine population as the EMF levels in their neighbourhood rocket? Sinusitis and tinnitis SE VOET!!!
The careful misinformation and suggestion that these symptoms are nothing to do with the Big Brother Project is Damage Control at its finest...*applauds..
The burst water pipe over in Montclair (see Page 2) has to be the result of more cowboy antics...
"surge the pipe - we need a break as an excuse to go and lay cable.." was doubtless the directive...
And surge they did indeed! Massive oops moment there but hey - no real harm done, as the idiot ratepayers will cover the extra costs involved fosho....*beams...
Have you noticed how Eskom is so suddenly on the mend of late? Like I said all along, the situation was dramatised out of all proportion as a red herring, when in reality the power was and is being cut to enable the Project technicians to connect the cabling in relative safety.... TELKOM ROCKS!!!
That the rich will get richer and the poor remain neglected is a given in this country.
I honestly don't think we will go the way of Zimbabwe...
There are simply too many fatcats with a vested interest for that to happen....*grins...
Fosho, mugs like me will be weeded out and squashed for daring to open their mouths and bleat about the corruption. But this is certainly not a localised thing....
Below is the post I made in the OffTopic Forum of what I would hope to be myadsl yesterday...*laughing... Can you really see it being allowed in print in it's entirety? *falls over...
Mon Editor Supreme deserves a special bouquet fosho....*applauds...
Peace...

an open letter to ic.....

I am at a loss. I checked our bandwidth last Sunday and all was well. We buy the smallest amount available from tradepage in Pinetown as we only use it for browsing. So we had 362.93 MBs left. When I clicked on the bookmarked Bandwidth Monitor yesterday morning, the page appeared in a completely different format and despite even retyping the details we kept getting Access Denied.

I rang tradepage first thing and spoke to Hilary (always helpful)She reassured me that our bandwidth would be carried over should we top up and that there had been no other login problems reported apart from one the day before.

My old man however, told me a somewhat different story last night.

He had phoned tradepage from his office and spoken to a guy who said that iBurst had changed everything suddenly, yesterday morning...*startled..He gave my husband the helpdesk.wbs.co.za URL. Despite repeated efforts this wouldn't load properly.

So he rang tradepage again and spoke to a different bloke who said to leave off the www when typing in the URL.. http://helpdesk.wbs.co.za in other words..

This still didn't load fully. Where the bandwidth details should appear was a large blank section.

He tried again last night on OUR PC and finally met with success. We then got the window saying bandwidth will no longer be carried over from next month and discovered we had a whopping 762.55 MB in spite of it reading only 362.93 last Sunday and it isn't even the end of the month! On the top left of the helpdesk page it said 'you are logged in as Ian Halliday'...??

Presumably the name of one of the guys at tradepage?

So I pointed my old man to the relevant thread in the iBurst forum regarding the stoppage of carryover bandwidth.More weirdness.... only one page of the thread existed and it appeared to end in mid-air with questions left unanswered by Sean Green...

May I beg your assistance here? There could of course be a logical explanation, though I do have an acknowledged tendency to think its dirty work at the crossroads...Advice would be greatly appreciated....

Hi Toady.

Just to confirm. Who are you directing your Open Letter to?

In other words who or what does ic stand for?

Regards,

BTTB.

Toady - yes, I started that thread, and still is waiting for answers from Shaun Green. From the tone of his post it seems as if he thought I did a bit of creative photoshopping, which is not the case.

Regards

Hi -toady-

Here is a link to the thread that T_L started:

iBurps cancelling monthly rollover?

My understanding is that any iBurst data bundle bought in month X, is only carried over to the next month X+1, and not carried over to month X+2.
