LIGHTS WILL GUIDE YOU....
(begun Saturday at 3.55am)
I see we finally made it onto the Eskom 'scheduled' blackout list...*grins...
Is it worth the paper it is printed on?
Which area does Howard College fall under? Manor Gardens? Glenwood? Effingham Heights? The incandescent University tower certainly chomps up a good few kilowatts of power....*cackles...
In deference to the country-wide crisis, should the tower lights be doused completely until the power crisis stabilises? The light in the very top of the tower block is surely sufficient to warn air traffic? *beams..
One can clearly see here that this huge array of lights is purely cosmetic, and therefore a slap in the face to tax-paying residents who suffer powercuts of up to 9 hours at a time? *grins and winks...
Although Piedmont road, just across the freeway from the Crescent here, has been zoned as Mayville, will their cuts follow the Sherwood schedule?
Listening to the GameWrecker read through the list with half an ear, was I correct in thinking that none of our cuts are to occur overnight? *falls over laughing... lucky then that Wireless doesn't need power is it not? *shrieks...
You will have to pardon me for finding what amusement I can, in this so carefully engineered calamity... In truth, I am utterly grossed out by the outpouring of blatant lies put about....
The 'breaks' in water lines that will shut off water to residents, to enable Telkom to make further inroads with the Big Brother Project...*heaves...
The now veritable river of water that runs down into the valley daily, from below the Senior boys Hostel, unchecked....*hawks...
Stormwater runoff se voet! On the plus side, it is creating enough wetland to have brought back the kingfishers that have been so scarce the last few years...*beams...
The same applies to the lack of proper grass cutting by the Parks Dept. down in the valley since the beginning of December..
It is now a mini-paradise for seed-eating birds..*applauds...
The horror of the raw sewage pouring unchecked into several rivers must have been foreseen, if not by the decorative figureheads/puppets in power, then certainly by the Architects of this Grand Scheme...
Deliberately allowed to happen as a further timeous distraction would have to be my guess... Pretty much on a par with finding that the SPCA is now not supported by the National Lottery and will have to close several of its branches soon due to financial losses...*grim...
Are we then due to become the rabies capital of the world as well? *applauds Mike Sutcliffe and his brilliant Managerial style....
He certainly is putting us on the map internationally....
Does Herr Doktor Sutcliffe retain his grossly overpaid job only to give the appearance of respectability to the Management of our city? Any semblance of honesty surrounding this toothy butt-kisser has long since left the building...*gags...
That he does not hold a press-conference to tell the world of the involvement of the Crooked in this massive project proves that he is himself enmired in Corruption...
They are his buddies are they not? Selebi and the Shaikboyz et al? Will he retire eventually to his time share in Goa, safe from the engineered crime and disasters that sweep the land? You can bet on it...*pukes...
Sunday at 3.50am
That the light filling the orphanage foyer can change overnight from this sullen orange to this golden yellow is magic....*grins..
Not to be confused with the real deal foyer light which has been left off for some nights now...
The GateKeepers do their bit towards the 'shortage'? *falls over laughing...
The PowerHouse here has been ablaze with aerial lights cranked to the max the last few nights so no, I guess no savings made...
My earlier comments in my 'Old Faithful' blog on the veracity of the newspaper comments claiming KwaZulu to be one of the most lightning prone areas of the country?
Turns out that the picture accompanying the blurb has been outed as a product of Photoshop...*keels over... Its almost as if the PTB are deliberately trying to see how much bullshit Joe Public will take...
The claim that mass damage to PCs was and will be caused by lightning, and the picture itself, is a blatant lie...*grins... Good stuff guys! *cheers...
I had to go along Sydney Road again yesterday, only to find the same culprits fully active well after 8.00am. From Dalton Road down to Dunlops - a fine sight in this time of crisis....*gags...
The Snowflake Flour Mill a little further on - to whom do they belong that a large signal enhancer/aerial burns here in the daytime?
Cruising around the affluent Manor Gardens Road area behind Howard College, took me to No. 27 Dale Road. One of yours to be sure...*cackles...
A larnie Peugeot CRAY1 ZN in the driveway here pretty much confirmed my suspicions...
I was actually looking for the mock-Tudor house visible from our garage window, that runs this enormous beauty...
The nearest suspect would have to be at 200 Queen Elizabeth Road or Ave. Nicely situated well above the road itself...*curious... Quite possibly way off the mark but an enjoyable exercise...
If all these round outdoor lights are only available from one local supplier, someone has made a killing over the last few years...*grins... What a coup it would be to find the supplier of those beauties... Distribution of wealth se voet!
That Government has signed Neotel up for billions of rands means squat...
Treble that amount, and treble it again, and you would be nearer the figure Telkom is getting for its assistance in the Big Brother Project...*grins..
These blue switchboxes? are springing up like mushrooms after the rain, everywhere you go in Durban...
The huge water outtage (advertised nogal) North of Durban, and mentioned by no less than the laughably corrupt Herr Doktor himself, has everything to do with Telkom and nothing to do with a genuine pipe fracture at all...*hawks...
That the PTB hastily tagged on the fact that Telkom may have to move manhole covers and cables near the 'break' was to cover the fact that the ubiquitous bakkies would doubtless be noticed working in the vicinity of the 'broken pipe'...*spits...
On a much larger scale than the practise run done higher up the Crescent here, the section the Corrupt chose near Mount Edgecombe would have been weakened by repeated surges until voila! A visible break and a nice excuse to go in and work with the cabling...*cackles...
There has alas, been no follow-up to Missus Courageous friendly conversation last Sunday regarding the dogs...
No sign either of the paltry (to them) R24 it cost me to replace their 'missing' tags, (which haven't been put back on the pups either)...*shrugs...
If it is a point they try to make, it serves only to further illustrate their complete and deliberate lack of responsibility....Thats the spirit guys!...*grins...
Interesting it was, to check my new cellphones Call Register and to find a couple of weird numbers sitting there and that my settings had been magically changed...
Much like minor changes had been made to the setting of my blog? *shrieks.... Not something I attend to if I can help it so.....? *winks at the Ruler of her Life...
Old habits die really hard do they not mon Capitano? You certainly leave this interfering old busybody choking in the dust of your wake...*falls over cackling..
What new lies and revelations will the Sunday Press have to offer today? *waits with anticipation...
Later:
A fatcat politician and his druglord buddy checking out their assets up there in the twin-engined aircraft?
The cost alone of keeping that little beauty aloft for well over an hour already, and its still circling? *pukes...
The money spent on the fuel for this one airborne operation would pay a teachers salary for a year...*gags... But hang on - the idea is to keep the people on their knees and not to educate them right? *spits...
The Captain of Courage still runs his signal enhancers at 7.30am here? He, and now hundreds of others will protest that it is at a minimal cost...*cackles... Are these 2 activated aerials involved with the aircraft still circling above? Highly likely...*nods...
My quick outing to get the newspapers at 8.20am netted me this young man struggling to drag great loops of orange cabling from the manhole outside the Hospice in Locksley Drive...*grins..
He posed obligingly for my album though on my return trip, he waved from inside the back of the dark Telkom bakkie....*laughs...
There were two Telkom vans pulled onto the pavement next to him and of course I'm guessing that yesterday's announced outtage (see sign) had plenty to do with today's work by the minions of the Beast...*chokes...
The constant water runoffs have now caused this sinkhole up by the Assessment Centre *hawks...
Could the disappearance of my staunch gardener be ascribed to his personal domestic issues or has his landord, the well-heeled pensioner Cliffy Haupt, found alternative employment to keep him busy? *grins...
It would certainly not be a trainsmash were I to have to wield the weedwhacker again myself...*laughing...
The drums of a marching band float on the air from Sydenham and the sun is warm... Life in the Zone continues to prove as interesting as ever...*beams..
Peace..
