NEVER A DULL MOMENT....
First I knew about it was waking just before 4.00am this morning to clanks and bangs coming from up in the Crescent.
*see toady run haha.....
I got some excellent pictures actually showing the water still rushing down the road to the Freeway while the digger noisily gouged out chunks of pavement outside Sue the Book's house.
All was quiet over on the Freeway.
I asked the wekker dude what time the pipe 'burst' (*chortles..) and he said about 10pm last night. How many hours is that? ahh a 6 hour run-off. Brilliant...
So can the GameWrecker expect to get over his lingering nausea now? At least till the toxins in the water table build back up again?
Nothing to do with excessive EMF levels and toxins seeping into the water? *falls over laughing.... Pull the other one guys....
the water still running down the road was a dead giveaway pfftt...
Yes, I'm aware that the pipes at this arse-end of the Crescent were never replaced properly... a sore point going right back to Councillor Pepler's days *sigh....
One massive and deliberate surge is all it takes for them to give way at any point right? *beams...how useful....
4.30am and I went to brush the chompers and found no water in the taps so I staggered back up to the road and saw clearly the little rivulets running down still in the streetlight... interesting...
I then remembered it was Wednesday and hair-washing and praised the lawd that I am not familiar with the oily hair syndrome *winks at Bali.....
At 5.20am the chopper buzzed overhead *waved to der Kommissar.... The very top of Howard College was activated last night so its all systems go heh... This morning it was off again but I was relieved to see that Entabeni's blue light was back on.
At 5.00am I could see the Recreation Centre lit up and a Port-a-light still clearly visible in the grounds below. C'mon guys.... the valley itself is pitch dark and tis not difficult to find the little extras you move about....*laughs.... the Ablution Block stood dark ....*shrugs...
Bert appears to be fine and was out watering his garden yesterday at 5.00pm...*beams
At 5.30am this morning, he was back out at his post on the verandah and Missus Bert moving about too.... I am always relieved to find I have worried needlessly.
At 5.35am,back in the lounge,I was touched to see a couple of dips to our system. Mon Capitan has not forgotten us after all heheh... a while its been since all the silliness with the dips but no surprise to find them back....*grins...
A While Later:
Turns out that it was Sue the Book that heard the water rushing down the road and reported it during the night. An awesome trench has been dug just below her driveway and two wekkers left on sight appeared to be waiting for something to happen... the water has of course stopped running at last....*chuckles...
See - this is the beauty of the camera... here I have a picture, clearly giving the time and date and showing a large amount of water still running down the road after residents water has been shut off? WTF? I will check with Sue as to what time she actually reported the break but the wekker quite clearly said 10pm. Why then was the water still running freely down the road at 4.00am? *chokes..... don't ask.....
I spose I should be grateful the PTB even bother with run-offs as so many of us down this end are expendible. Oh no - hang on - *laughing - thats not really true at all....
Right now there are more riding the Wireless Train than not...*smiles... Their health and welfare are very important so.... hallelujah!
After seeing the GameWrecker off, I saw a lady walking up the Crescent and started up a conversation with her. Grey haired and maybe a few years older than this toad. Turns out she works at the Cripple Care centre higher up opposite the Blind Home. In spite of being there for years, she had never met Alexis and didn't know who Sipho was.... ai the strangeness of the human race....
How very easy we make it for the Crooked to go about their nefarious business.... We all have the freedom to be friendly and sadly, most choose to look the other way...
You fear you will be labelled an interfering gossip and sat next to me on the Nuisance Bench? Silliness! There is strength in unity...*bangs its pointy head against a brick wall....
A grey, gentle day here in the Zone... the drizzling rain had stopped and the poor muddled bees still hovered over the corn on the birdtray.. I could hear a woodpecker industriously pecking away at the bark of the avo tree... birds everywhere stocking up for the lean months....
I could hear children over on the Convent playing field and marvelled at how busy its been since the last big powercut. Prior to that, the field was barren even on schooldays (except for the odd 10 minutes here and there) Why is it now considered a safe area? What has changed?
At 10.00am I went up to see how the water pipe repairs were getting on. A tanker was parked on the verge with water for the residents. I got chatting to the pleasant guy in charge and he said it should be sorted out by sometime today. A couple of lengths of crappy PVC piping and bob's your uncle until the next deliberate surge/run-off....*beams...
The sun was trying to come out... a pity about the laundry and hair-washing but any excuse to be idle makes me smile....
I see our little President is worried about telecommunications cable theft?
One wonders how informed he is about the massive Wireless data-theft initiative being implemented throughout the country as I type....
Is he aware that Telkom and Eskom are working closely with the Municipalities in every province to remove any last vestiges of privacy left to citizens in South Africa?
Is he merely trotting out the party line regarding crime syndicates stealing cables and causing blackouts? *hmmmm..
When in reality so called 'legitimate' Muni-hired contractors are removing existing cables to enable them to be replaced with.... what? Certainly something that facilitates the Data-Theft scheme as seen here in Sherwood.
The blackouts are vital as it is only then safe to make the changes to the system while the power is off...*sigh...
Sometimes it feels as if every last Electrical Engineer in this country has been hunted down and sucked in by this Monster...
Not one honest boffin left to make sense of my gibberings and to raise the alarm....*cackles....
