DANCING IN THE WEIRD LIGHT.....
A minor miracle occurred as I danced in the weird light on the front lawn this morning *chuckles..... it had been there all the time but as you know, I seldom see the obvious..... *looks at the huge overhead light down by Cassim's.
Pretty much only arb stuff since I last posted a blog on Tuesday. Captain Courageous has re-activated the bright wheel sensor on the Courser and the resulting dips to our electrical system are hectic. (strangely enough, while writing this at 5.15am not a dip occurred heh).
I suppose next would be the dodgy matter of the alleged child-molester, Adrian Kingsley. I am absolutely certain it was suggested to him to stand in the park across from our CPF Treasurer's house and watch her.
Its been like, 2 months or more since he took to cavorting about under the trees there, sometimes shirtless and often smoking spliffs (according to the Treasurer). Inexplicably, this did not bother her even after it was discovered he had been in the park the same morning of the Saturday the Essays house was burgled....*sigh....
I have no details, but Carol's assertion at our last CPF Meeting, that Adrian was due to appear in Court the next day, seems to have been wishful thinking on her part *smiles....
As blogged, he was down here in the valley that very afternoon noisily making sure that I saw him....
Then of course on Saturday the 17th after 5.00pm he arrived and loudly attended to the re-decorating of our valley wall with a spraypaint can.
This is pretty much where the lines begin to blur.... Only young Captain Calvin Bhopal (aka Ghopal) was sent a text asking the Patrol guys to move Adrian on, the previous week. A copy of this same text was also sent to our Vice-Chair. At some point it would appear that Adrian was told of this and retaliated by spraying our pre-cast wall. WTF??
At the CPF Meeting it was clear that Carol knew of my text request. Does Captain Bhopal discuss Sherwood matters with the DrugLord's consort on a regular basis or was it a chance remark he made while riding shotgun on one of her Ministry of Good Works Missions?
Strange times we live in......
Needless to say, we were advised this week that Adrian had done a runner and the Detective Branch wanted to pick him up.
Yesterday afternoon Alex rang to say that Adrian was back sitting in the Park across from the Treasurer and der Kommissar pulled out all the stops and sent a team out to pick him up. Mission accomplished.
Now the really interesting stuff begins. According to Carol (told at the CPF Meeting), this young man was arrested at some point last year, on a similar charge but walked free due to a 'Missing' docket. *the stench of Rotting Apples fills the air.....
He was since used in a miserably failed attempt to harrass both the Treasurer and myself.....by whom?? Why has he suddenly outlived his usefulness? Is he just too cooked in the head to realise he has Patsy scrawled across his forehead?
Is he in fact guilty of the rape charges? Will he get fair representation?
See, I had it from Alex that this was a really pleasant kid up until a while back and then *boom* a complete character change....
So, if he IS guilty on the child-molestation charges he must go down. But if he isnt? Who will stand for him?
No. 17's front gates were open when I drove back from the shops and Bert working in his driveway. I swung in and introduced myself as the 'trouble' from number 8 and he didnt bat an eyelid *laughs.....
Eish, another 20 years and Mike Oliver will be his twin!! Anyway, I invited him to attend the Community Meeting at the Hall this coming Tuesday and said we hoped der Kommissar would be speaking to us *heavy hint.......
And at last got some decent pics of the chopper as it flew back and forth over the convent mid-morning today. At first, it seemed to suck the camera batteries dry as it came over so low, but I managed to get new ones in, in time to take some decent pics when it came back over. My album would be incomplete without it as it plays such a huge part in this massive operation.
The construction work going on at the Welcome To Durban area, next to Jan Smuts Highway and the Freeway heading north, is far bigger than I'd first supposed. What on earth is going up there? A nasty shock for the existing residents or simply more land for private homes?
I saw a light left on in one of the downstairs windows of the orphanage the other day. This has Direct Line of Sight to Balis new outside light and was still on at 8.00am. *shakes its head....
I recall going out onto the front lawn on Thursday night and calling the GameWrecker to come and see the sky over Sydenham. Full cloud cover but it was like broad daylight! I guess its fully wired up then?
Save electricity? Conserve water? *falls over laughing... Right ! We still have very low water pressure and between Ameena and the house above Mo's in Harris Crescent, a Huge amount of water is still be deliberately wasted. Not to mention what is covertly run off down here in the valley... Hypocrasy rules.....
