ONE FOOT ON THE PLATFORM......
I sit and marvel again at the picture of a beaming Jacqui Subban, Head of Geographic Info and Policy at the crooked Ethekwini Municipality... (Natal Mercury, February 14th 2007).
You have to love the ambiguity of "some years ago" and "Visionary ICT strategy"? OMW!! *falls about laughing......
Did ex-Station Commander Koobair have any idea, way back then, that the so-profitable partnership between himself and employees up at Telkom Overport, would finally be called a Visionary ICT strategy? I'm betting NOT! *cackles wildly.....
It's sort of indicative of the all-pervasive rot throughout the Muni that instead of charging and jailing those responsible for deliberately tapping into private citizen's landlines for years, the idea is bought for no doubt a vast sum of money. Koobair is an extremely shrewd businessman (though selling stolen cars directly out of the Station was pretty dumb at least he managed to make the drug selling allegations go away). So the original infrastructure, designed by a crook, is paid for by the Muni in what will be carefully covered as a legitimate deal? *pukes.
Could one of you sanctimonious 'its a means to an end' readers tell me, if this is a totally above-board operation by the Muni...how many Sherwood residents have had their standard building/renovation crews, painting crews etc, deliberately infiltrated by Muni contract employees? Employees trained to add finishing touches to unsuspecting residents properties without their knowledge? *sigh......
So what? heheh... if you are one that has the 'so what' attitude, then may I say you get the Government/Municipality you deserve. You truly do..... *beams....
The entire Mercury article is filled with Munibabble and glosses over the real nature of the system - Invasion of Privacy via Big Brother.
Mr. Navin Radhalal of Business Connexion bears watching closely. RAMCO? eh...there is so much corruption involved here I forsee a huge fall-out along the way....
The current digging operations along jan Smuts Highway and the development underway on Pettersens Pig Farm land right at the Westville entrance to Durban sign? Interesting - ultimately planned for more housing or a nice fat wireless tower?
I didn't have time to chat to Sister S the other day, but would be interested to know if she is aware of the Convents contribution to this 'Visionary ICT strategy'.
It is possible that she has a vague idea of the involvement but I'm guessing no clue as to the wider implications.
While on the subject, any of you readers in a position to financially help Sister S (and I do NOT mean with cars, and swimming pools), you could give her a cheque specifically for the wonderful work she is doing at her clinic...the hordes of little kids running around over there without much of a future to look forward to..obviously a huge financial drain to feed and clothe all these kids... so, think about it and do the right thing...
after all, the Convent's contribution to the Wireless link-up tests has been huge whether knowingly or unknowingly. That would be Sister Stephens, St. Theresa's Orphanage, Sydenham Durban. And if you live in Durban, be brave enough to deliver it to her at the clinic, by hand.
Did Bali ever tell you exactly HOW they treated my neighbours bathroom wall? The one that is only some 20 to 30 feet from where I sit here at the PC? Did you applaud their cleverness?
Methinks the carrot is so tempting and sweet that many of you have forgotten the face of your father...ack...
Do any of you even consider the possibility that we here in the valley are taking way over acceptable levels of EMF on a regular basis? Do you care? *laughs grimly..... Obviously not....innocent, unwitting pawns like Basil, Sue and Penny will merely be statistics in the Race for Power. No proof so no case right? (*nods at Mike Oliver) Grim indeed.
Its very wet out this morning so I'm not anticipating the return of the young 'scrap' metal entrepreneur today. I will have to wait and see what Monday brings *winks at Calvin the Good....
When I was over at the convent on Thursday, I admit to hoping for some sort of startling and visible confirmation of my assertions...but no.....*sigh....
The spine of the church itself? Very attractive close-up and the huge lights suspended inside to light the churches interior, clearly visible through the cladding material. Exactly where the external bright sensor light appears heheh..clever...
Captain Courageous Courser is invisible today. Either swapped places with the Beemer and pulled into his garage or parked up the road at Sis-in-laws place for the weekend. Absolutely of no importance as, whether home or not, either the Captain or his Missus Never leave my side *beams happily...
Much Later: I took a drive down to Sydney Road to buy birdseed earlier and on the way home I stopped to chat to P up the road.
Turns out the dude that has been hanging out in the little park across the road from her house for weeks, is the same guy now doing metal work below our place. Go figure.... another genius plan by the rotten apples? *keels over laughing.....
It didn't bother P and it doesnt bother me...he can hang out in the valley as long as he likes, especially now I've specifically asked for help from the Station and advised our Vice-Chair of the matter heheh...
I do believe the very one-sided Game playing has finally swung to a more even keel guys! Bring it on!!!
Tip of the Day: It is said that daily massaging of the scalp increases hair growth.. I wouldnt know, but I find bald men very attractive....*smiles...
