THE SONG OF THE JACKHAMMER....
(begun Monday at 4.00am)
Once again I merrily bleat on about fibre optic cable when in fact they could be anything...*snorts...
You may have noticed I tend to get caught up in the 'moment'....
The neatly bricked manhole between Kasim's and the Sherwood flyon to the Freeway, certainly did have raw black worms, pathetically waiting for attention...
Trotting along further, down Jan Smuts towards Mayville, we found a huge loop of uncovered black cables almost opposite the garage and below No. 580 Barnard Road....*beams..
This address coincidentally, also had the visible remains of a large water runoff....
When we actually walked along Barnard road, I happily found a pole dressed identically to this one that sits in Kings Avenue, Westville....
Not too many of those about so worth a mention? Some really big money invested in a few of those properties as well...*interested...
Almost at the end of Barnard Road sits the house with the green roof (I double-checked this fact for skydog) at No. 620.....*grins...
Would an up-to-date voter's roll show the true owners names of all these numbers I so diligently collect? Would there be any relationship between all the owners besides the Telkom wimax connection?
Could the purchase of the more affluent properties and those that are having massive additions made, have been assisted by Government or Telkom funds? *smiles...
I am certain there have been handouts involved in persuading many home owners in Sherwood and the Zone to sign the dotted line.... However, those vast (and in many cases still under construction), homes situated in the most unlikely of places, show a sudden rush of very big money indeed...*curious...
Could it be that Moederloos on myadsl is merely another red-herring toadbaiter? *chortles... if you aren't already a member of www.mybroadband.co.za do yourself a favour and sign on...
Go and read all Moederloos posts and see what you think...with or against the Beast? *grins...
I still rise easily to the bait of a kind, albeit amused, word..do I not?
I'm told that there is now an mlungu lady overseeing the Parks Dept. clearing *astonished...
Could it be this one decked out in full muni blue gear right down to her hat? I remember zooming in the picture and how startled I had been to find her sitting below our wall with the other wekkers.
At some point after that, I had seen her riding shotgun on the Parks tractor as well...
She was last seen here in December, just before the usual cleaning operations came to a grinding halt forever and the valley has since been left for the most part to grow wild....
Oh ja - the gang still comes in - but now they cut only strategically. Where the controlled water runoff below the Senior boys Hostel pours down the hillside into the valley receives plenty of attention.. and a careful clearing some feet out from all the boundary walls seems to be a feature...*puzzled...
I look again at my picture of the weedwhacker operator taken on tuesday 22nd January at 2.24pm and grin ....
Not an inch of flesh reveals the identity of that strange over-dressed in protection gear droog as he/she moved about, clearly assisting with the LOS operations...*cackles...
Where the Rotten Apples have gone to such deliberate and complicated lengths to create scenarios purely for my benefit (*curtseys), wasting precious time and manpower to amuse themselves, I cannot believe that the Govt (read Muni) would engage in such foolishness... Wrong again? *shrugs...
We walked through to Randles Road and climbed the hill past St. Anne's RC church... Base Camp of that arch-sucker, Father Denker....*hawks...
I was tempted to enter while the service was underway, and catch a glimpse of this fatcat, but he wouldn't have known me from Adam, so no point there....*shrugs..
His innocent charges over the way at St. Theresa's now have the newly added section of roof directly over their dormitory. A section that shines like silver in the early morning light....*spits..
If you believe that they have been merely repairing leaks, then you are a simple as this toad....*laughing..
Later:
I sucked the camera batteries dry in my efforts to capture the MTB lights this morning...*cackles...
I am happy to try as many as twenty times to get it right, and plodding persistence pays off as a rule...*grins... I was lucky enough to get two shots of the port-a-lights in the dormitory at 5.12am and the role that the storeroom below now plays in the operations....*smiles...
Blue curtains? Silly that I never saw those before ja....
So at the moment the focus appears to be directed to the section directly beneath the newly laid sheets on the roof. It doesn't however, distract me from seeing the huge orange Port-a-lights beaming out from the north end of the orphanage upstairs in the evenings...
This morning it was as though all the lights were running once again at half-mast strength..
Even my Master's more than half dozen did not seem as dazzling... guilt at using so much power as the country reels with the blackouts? *falls over..
Guilt and Collin Balliram are foreign to each other....*laughing...
I was up unlocking the gate after 5.00am this morning as Cliff's big dog came trotting up the Crescent....*chokes and waves to the weird old dude in case he's watching....
So quick he was to blame his newly-elevated Flame Lily Board Member at No. 11 of having bitches in season. And there was No. 11 in turn going ballistic that this unneutered male repeatedly breaks down his fence?
The both of them could easily get a job learning to basket-weave across the road at Challenge...*cackles...
It gives the neighbourhood dogs a healthy cardio workout which can only be a good thing...*grins...
If any blood is shed, I will hopefully be there to record it...*nods..
Young Spotty was again carelessly shut out of his property as we walked by yesterday...*shrugs... A shame but something that no longer inflames me at all, but rather makes me feel quite good about myself....*beams..
Though admittedly slower than average, I still enjoy Head Games...*grins...
You remember I told you of how Sabeera Samuels (up at No. 18) construction bordering the valley now resembled a squash court? No longer. It has risen even higher since I last saw it...*awesome...
The Structural Engineering plans alone must have cost a fortune as all the residents are aware of the subsidance here in the valley...*impressed....
I was unaware till yesterday that Cyril at No. 16 also had one of these little corrugated iron sheds at the bottom of his garden... it reminds me of lynksys (sp) and sparkling green lights and wifi.... *smiles... Pretty much identical to the one Freddy has here...*grins...
Two doors down and you have the seriously dodgy Accountant himself. Sho nuff Freddy had a light hooked over his creosote pool fence that is blindingly intense white... Halogen or something else? It speaks no doubt to the deep orange light active on a house wall bordering St. Theresa's playing field. Just behind the cricket practise nets ja...*laughs...
Is the lack of clearing in the valley below a measure to deter casual visitors? Just a thought...
The Glassman's appie had grumbled that since the steel palisade fencing had been erected round the field he can no longer take the shortcut through to Mary Road so.....its working? *applauds...
Constant dips this morning....Unstable system or Controller... ? You decide...*falls over....
I was musing on how helpful it has been to follow the obviously neglected dogs in the area...*beams... Neglected would of course include not bothering to spay or neuter the animals...
I freely admit that it has coloured my opinions dramatically of Kasim, Mohamed, Cliffy the Fool and lest we forget, Charles Newton (recently blessed new member of the Board of Trustees at the Illuminati's Flame Lily Park....*grins...
To judge a man by the treatment meted out to his animals is sound advice indeed.... is it not o Captain, my Captain? *chokes...
A grey and drizzly day has brought some relief from the scorching heat of yesterday... I have things to do....
Peace julle...
