HOWLING......
(begun Tuesday at 3.50am)
I can't help cracking a grin as I open the front door this morning....the Wireless song is cranked to what must be the max,and its like a comic book noise its so loud...*laughing...
The gang of wekkers and their surrealist-looking machines were back on the freeway bridge last night... A great deal quieter than they've been in the past and not as well lit, but I managed to get these nonetheless...*grins...
Are those ominous orange/red lights actually under the freeway bridge itself? They are partially hidden by trees, but were so bright last night I got lucky here..... *vows to do a recce.....
The GameWrecker told me last night that our electric clocks are losing time because we are getting less power....Out of the mouths...*falls over...
Basically he is paying for a service that, never mind the blackouts and powercuts, very often runs at halfmast...*cackles...
It suddenly occurred to me to wonder whether Basil or his Missus had grumbled to each other audibly about the incredible noise pollution and invasion of privacy caused during our Ruler's renovations?
I have been very fortunate in this regard, while they have borne the brunt bigtime...*frowns...
Did my Master overhear them complain while in 'eavesdropping' mode, and deliberately surge their house alarm? This has after all, been his preferred modis operandi of spiteful revenge for years, denials or not....*curious...
For the alarm system to have worked without a problem, and to suddenly go down overnight without even a powercut to blame, smells of Bali's deliberately heavyhanded involvement...*heaves...
Does he get physical pleasure as he tunes in to hear their dismayed conversation? At their shock that Chubb have now set an astronomical callout fee?
I'm guessing that since the onset of the deliberate powercuts, all the Security companys (sp) have put their heads together and figured they'd make an extra buck off the back of the problems caused to their systems? Something worth checking on ja.... *smiles...
These constant dips to our system must surely take their toll on our appliances? Weakening them to such an extent that when the power is actually cut and subsequently returned, the odds of losing assets are far greater? A cunning plan oh Officer In Charge...*laughing...
The threads on the mybroadband forums that dutifully suggest ways to help Eskom save power, have me gagging...
What good little sheep we are, and helpful too, as we are led off to the slaughterhouse....*cackles...
Later:
The pressure in my ears increased dramatically as I climbed onto the orbitrek this morning... irrevocably flawed since taking huge doses of EMF in the latter part of 2005...*grins...
It wasn't as if Bali could/would tell me that my lifelong habit of sitting out in the garden, may now prove to leave me with rather more than just horrific sun damage...*shrieks...
Basil and Penny spent a lot less time outdoors and still paid the price... Sue the Book? Is in DLOS to so much power she is constantly unwell..*applauds the Architects of this Grand Scheme for their dedication and complete disregard for human safety....
The more callous and cold-hearted your local Controller is, the better it is for Eskom, Telkom and the Crooked in Government...*winks at Bali....
Shall I ask ic to set up a poll? Along the lines of:
Do you have frequent waterline breaks in your area?
Ongoing powercuts?
Lemon-knobbed new streetlight cowlings?
Muni Electrical contractors digging?
Telkom contractors digging?
A great many new outdoor lights nearby?
Deep orange sodium based lights nearby?
DSLAMS?
Manhole covers recently installed?
A chopper that is overhead far more than the norm?
Sewage line breaks?
A state-subsidised institution in your LOS that appears to have recently had its electricity refurbished and now sports a huge additional amount of lights?
Answer yes to any of the above and the chances are you have been, or are in the process of being Big Brothered....*grins...
It is unlikely that this will benefit you in any way, unless you are blessed to a part of the Telkom Wimax Trials, in which case you may or may not receive free utilities... this would depend greatly on the amount of aerials you would be required to install on your property, and whether or not you would have to run off large amounts of water on a regular basis (as is the case with our Councillor's cousin just up the crescent...)*beams...
A large gout of water has run out of our geyser overflow pipe sometime in the early hours.. Unusual enough for me to remark on... Will this be the Captain of Courages next target? *shrugs...
Later:
I occasionally read my horoscope for a laugh... Yesterday's warned me to be careful of what I say as it could be used against me. *falls down and collapses laughing... A wee bit late for that sterling advice don't you think? *grins and wipes its streaming eyes...
I called the SPCA yesterday as Bali no doubt has told you.... a long shot but no sign of either Pepsi or Cola at the hospital or Lost & Found section....
Will they reappear like mini -genies from a bottle sometime soon, or was their number well and truly up at last?
Several times I had noticed Pepsi had had her collar and Identity tag removed... No way could it have accidentally come off....*looks at Bali.... much simpler to lose her once and for all without the tag is it not? *vomits...
I have to guess that a hasty plan was made on Saturday night and the two little ones are now either tucked away at a buddy's house (*looks at Cassim doubtfully), or they were picked up, ID tags removed, and dumped out of the Zone...*shrugs.... He would go that far? Fosho he would....
Though Missus C's embarrassed demeanour gives me hope they will return, I do NOT hold my breath....
Yet another gang of contract wekkers poised down by the stopstreet before 8.00am this morning. This lot have a big reel of black cable and clearly plan on digging...
How much more can this small area support before it spontaneously combusts...? Watch this space...*laughing...
Even later:
The Decking guy is back making adjustments with his Power Saw....here Nice picture hey? *beams...
And across the way most timeously, we have a Lone Marker Buoy Officer here in full disguise as a Weed Wacker Operator! *keels over cackling...
I was wondering earlier when the Parks gangs would arrive with the tractor to cut the grass. Its not been done in ages and is now a fairly big job..*grins...
So I find it hilarious that you consider ONE dude arriving after 2.15pm with a WeedWacker, won't pique my interest? His large piece of white material artfully arranged on the ground by the gumtrees in LOS to the Senior Boys Hostel to aid whom? The Decking guy??? Classic!
Marking the spot for further aerials and signal enhancers on the new decks fosho... *grins...
A silver-metallic sky and gasping humidity does not detract from the beauty of the Valley here in the Zone.... Peace...
