COLD, COLD NIGHTS....
(begun at 4.15am Monday)
An icy wind blows in the gumtrees before 4.00am this morning. The moon is still high in the sky and the clouds have, for the most part, cleared.
It is utterly beautiful outside.
It was a busy night according to Nobby next door, and a miserable one at that...*shakes it's head...
I nearly forgot to tell you - another mystery explained.... From Sue the Book's property, I could see that Bali has TWO gate wall-lights active...
I have only ever been able to see one...*grins... The second light may just account for the phosphorescent glow that covers his 'dead' streetlight... Of course it has nothing to do with the very bright orange sensor lights facing the convent and our house, on the silver bands round the pole itself...
It is nonetheless bewildering that it stands so dark when viewed up on the Crescent, and yet is so very much alive when down on our property... Again - Line of Sight?
I made a note yesterday of all the times we were disconnected. For the most part it was almost every 30 minutes. So I figure Captain C. set our PC to do this automatically while he is out and about. Once he returns home, the disconnects become random again...*chuckles...
So far, it would appear that nothing has been 'dumbed down' for the holidays. Everything is up and running on full strength this morning..
Sabeera up at No. 18 appeared to have yet another new light facing us last night. Fred's upstairs bedroom windows were closed. No sign of his traffic light monitoring system. I guess they must be away for the holidays.
The Recreation Centre windows that shone with the orange light before 4.00am were out and dark by 5.00am.
The weird bar light replacing the brilliant foyer light at the orphanage, has now been replaced by a bright greenish light tucked into one of the kitchen windows.
The same light that began its life in the corner lounge window of 72 Michan Road? *grins....
In addition to their back door stunner, this house still has an extra tucked inside the big window to the left of their stairs...
This beauty is orange....*beams...
Very helpful people at Number 72 Michan Road....
Later at 5.45am:
I went back up the top to find Bert the Stoic at his post on the verandah in spite of the cold...*beams...
I took some pictures that pleased me. The treated 'smart' windows at the orphanage were looking particularly pretty...
New lights on the building to my left of the church itself and yet another newbie behind the PowerHouse sitting on the skyline... Good stuff....
Oddly enough, there is now a big orange light facing us, coming from the Recreation Centre...The GateKeepers are really earning their salaries this morning? *cackles...
When did Captain Courageous get his official designation?
I'm guessing Barnabus also has contacts in the NIA? When my Master first moved in next door in 1999, he spent 6 out of 7 days vegging out with his stereo cranked to the max, and undoubtedly going about his business as Cracker Supreme for the Rotten Apples and Telkom Overport.
I would guess that since then, he has been officially 'deputised', to give him a legitimate title....*laughs.... Basically he is a glorified Snitch, not so? One with marvellous connections....
Internet Security for Absa? *collapses in a heap....with a relative over at FNB as a Director? He can't lose.....
Run a trace on Collin Prakash Balliram, and I'm betting you will hit a brick wall...*cackles...
When you consider that he was happy to be introduced using Missus Courageous name Moodliar, for the first two years they were here? And of course Missus C. brings the Pillays to the mix.... Mr. Pillay up at SARS? *falls over.... Has Captain C. EVER paid any taxes?
Mrs Pillay who tried to instal a tenant up at No. 66 Rippon Crescent, even before the transfer papers were signed? *laughing... Luckily the Bank picked that up in time...
Did the Rotten Apples have a clue how easily I would slip back into wearing the Cloak of the Abused? When they arranged for the Heroic couple to move in next door?
Doubtful that they did....*grins.... How comfortably it fitted still, after all these years....
During most of my married life, I played the role of harridan to a compliant GameWrecker... I now know this is pretty much par for the course....*smiles...
Of course these days, the worm has turned completely, and the GameWrecker calls the shots... a concept I find interesting and am still getting used to...*cackles...
So you see why I am comfortable with the ongoing 24/7 abuse I am treated to by dear Collin Balliram and his Corrupt Cronies? *smiles... Abuse it most certainly is....
The latest being the disconnects...pfff... I admit to being momentarily grossed out when I found a mail I sent to my sister, given Failed Mail status...My old lady is still in hospital but...*sigh.... it's all just part of your 'job' is it not o brave one? *falls over....
I picture my Controller hauling out his now, nearly empty bucket of Personal Whitewash, once again.... methinks you definitely protest way too much Bali....*grins...
Does he never get confused and forget which of his peers he crows to, and which he denies everything to? *chokes...
How much of this blog will be edited out is anybody's guess...it probably depends on which side of the bed Captain Courageous rose this morning...*laughs...
The disconnects on this PC merely tell me, that somewhere along the way, I scored a point or two....
The call to NoseWeek that actually got through? Admitting that I was aware that the Captain removes information from this blog? (eg. Sean Mudaly of Overport Telkom).
Toads Rule!!!
The white wireless box on the telephone pole in the valley between our home and Bali's has been exceptionally well behaved in our waking hours at least...
What finally persuaded mon Capitan to switch it off? *puzzled...
My constant reminders of it's capabilities other than just Wireless? *chortles.... The first white boxes with CCTV cameras and audio capabilities, attached to the streetlight poles here in 2004?
Was I just too certain of the green lights and how they appeared so much stronger in windy weather?
It was thought if left off, I would forget about them and quit going on about it?...*NOT!.....
Though Telkom and the Muni work feverishly together, cutting across roads and lashing white boxes to poles everywhere....Wireless Internet is the least of their priorities...
Stripping the Public of their privacy is the only real objective here and it will be achieved country-wide.
There have to be ongoing power cuts, while all these systems are linked to the grid...
Telkom have over the years, attained a great deal of their power by illegal snooping and wire-tapping ..
Nothing will change in spite of the smoke and mirrors act, claiming they are feeling the pinch...*laughs...
They, and the Corrupt in Government ,(*nods to Barnabus.), are still doing very well... getting Eskom into the mix, was the final nail in the average citizen's coffin believe it or not....
Peace
