TROTTING OUT THE TRITE....
(begun Monday at 3.50am)
Solid cloud cover this morning, which had the effect of raising the wireless song's pitch to a near shriek....*grins...
Its been fairly quiet here on the Eastern front, of late... Not the least reason being that our little house is full, with the kid visiting for a while...*beams..
We took a slow drive around the Loon Road area yesterday morning... I was looking for a reason for the lengthy powercut our CPF ex-secretary had endured last week...
At the very least a new manhole cover or DSLAM being constructed....*curious... Their power had gone off pretty much when ours had, after midnight on Thursday, but hadn't come back on until the Saturday morning! *startled....
She had attempted to follow the official route and had made enquiries but to no avail....
Hardly surprising....*shrugs...
I asked her whether there had been any visible water runoffs over that period and bingo, there had indeed....
From this property that is so suddenly adding an extra floor...*cackles.... It had already earned itself a place in my album as a possible nest of vipers due to the amount of aerials it runs... Clearly it wasn't high enough to pick up the signal from the Locksley Drive side and additions are underway to raise it....*grins...
Money is very definitely no object when the site is so strategically...*smiles...
Captain Courageous' dogs suddenly went bananas last night some time after 9.00pm... to the extent that Sophie and I were impelled to investigate.... Kasim's Spotty had clearly invited himself for a sleepover, but that wasn't the cause of their noisy anxiety...
WTF were the 2 new small, but intense lights I could clearly see, partly hidden in the far corner of Bali's garden?? Look at these.... whatever they are, little Pepsi in particular didn't care for them one bit.... She was continually jumping up onto their concrete seat and standing on her hind legs barking at these two lights....*grins...
Clever little canine that one is to be sure...
I will ask Basil whether anything has changed in that particular corner, to suddenly reveal these orange lights, and let you know....*smiles...
I heard the quiet chink of my Masters gate as he came out to go into der Bunker at 4.15am...
The PTB have certainly struck gold to find one so dedicated to his 'work' that he forgoes his beauty sleep in preference to monitoring the neighbourhood...*winks...
I was denied access completely to efnets #trivia channel last night and instead, was given a 'by invite access only' message, though some care was taken to let me know that it was a bot error...*falls over laughing...
It is enough to know that somebody still cares enough to send me continued stumbling blocks...*beams at Bali and his sheep...
So Jackie Selebi is ostensibly to be put on ice for the moment?
Fascinating to put the Sunday Times and the Sunday Tribune next to each other and to compare yesterday's headlines...*shrieks...
While the Times is clearly thrilled at the latest developments, the tame and grovelling Tribune is much more cautious...*grins... Wisely so I must guess....
The Zone and the Big Brother Project are after all, supposedly Selebi's baby? Or not!....
Names like Engelbrecht, Bezuidenhout, Retief and Swanepoel bob up now and again to muddy the waters....*cackles..
The Good Old Days? How much influence these names still carry is anyone's guess, but it wouldn't surprise me at all, were there still some life left in these old dogs....*beams...
I figure Selebi has been advised to sit quietly and wait, while the dirt is tossed about at random... How much will stick to whom at the end of the day, will decide his fate one way or the other...*laughs...
Did I not tell you the fun was just beginning? Now that it is 'legal' to monitor landlines and cellphones? *chortles...
It is truly an artform to watch what you say over the phone...One that I've improved at amazingly, since the penny finally dropped...*grins...
The audio monitoring of private homes using fibre, is going to nail so many more of the Government puppets, its hysterical...
Utter and complete chaos will reign, as juicy snippets are traded to the highest bidder...*laughing...
Its 6.00am and the humidity is astonishing...thunder rolls in and down comes the rain in buckets....
Later:
In the true spirit of ongoing irritation, may I now present you with Exhibit A.... a good, clear, zoomed in shot of St. Theresa's church taken at ...erm, 8.07am today the 14th January 2008...
with absolutely no distraction from the rising sun at all....*beams...
The Sisters are in church by 8.00am and yet.... not a light to be seen in the windows or belltower...
Put this picture next to all the ones with the glowing orange light in the belltower and the gothic shaped window and explain if you will, to the Sisters, how this magical affect is achieved? Not? *sighs....
I believe I have made my point. When the standard church lights are on, they cannot be seen from the outside.... only the Big Brother aerials are visible *falls over laughing...
The port-a-light that so repels the local dogs was once again working yesterday over by the Servants Quarters/Outbuildings... Despite a great deal of spring growth across the valley, it looks like this box-shaped aerial light on the Senior Boys Hostel wall nearest us, is activated as well as the port-a-light in one of the hostel gardens....Overkill? *chokes...
My word, would I like to meet the occupants of the facebrick house at the convent end of St. Theresa's Road...*grins... they surely must be glowing green by now?
I have given you the warning signs/symptoms repeatedly, therefore I would hope that you question your droogs regularly... *is not talking to the Master of Deviousness here - he is after all deafened by the kerching of his own cash register....
It is surely enough to follow the symptoms shown in the health of Basil, Sue and Penny, than to risk others in this reckless agenda so callously followed? *doesn't hold its breath....
This morning at 9.20am I went up to find this yellow NDM vehicle parked down by the stop street...
Sue the Book tells me they have finally come to repair the sewage line break she reported way back in December...*keels over laughing...
The break caused by these guys on the 29th November at midday when they were attaching the two new electricity meters to Iris' wall in Jan Smuts Highway?
Clearly from all this digging, they managed to break something?
The case for FTTH via the sewage lines continues... though, as we are the TRIAL area, its likely that fibre is being run through the water pipes and the sewage lines to see which is more effective....*snorts....
The disrespect being shown to non-trialists and those ignorant of the telecoms project taking place, is classic...! *grins...
Lets take the Penny Lane complex over in West Riding, for example...
They too lost their power supply just after midnight last Thursday night.... It was only restored on Saturday morning at 5.30am!
I am now told that they had already endured a blackout the day before on the Wednesday as well...
On enquiring, they were first informed that there had been a cable break, and then later told that two substations had gone down....
Utter bullshit, and yet every one of those residents is expected to pay their rates without demur....*hawks and spits at Herr Doktor Sutcliffe...
They have in fact, overtaken our record of 40 hours lost over a fortnight in October, in one fell swoop! *applauds....
What massive cockups lie ahead? *grins in anticipation....
A grey and very humid day it is here in the Zone of Greed.... Peace julle...
