DOGGONE......
(begun Sunday at 3.30am)
Strange times...
What we used to call a moody bastard is now diagnosed as BiPolar and treated, FFS.... *cackles...
What was whispered as 'interfered with' is now called abuse, and used to justify anti-social behaviour... We've come a long way baby....Not!
I've not chatted to you here since last Tuesday.. hopefully mon Capitano has reported dutifully that my domestic situation precluded me from putting pen to paper.... Its certainly not that I've run dry... As if! *grins...
More like trying to find a clear space to sit and scribble peacefully....
While waiting for my lift, up the top last Tuesday evening, I managed a fine picture of St. Theresa's church, showing just one of the two gothic style windows brightly lit. Check this taken at 7.00pm.
Never visible during normal church services but hey - we play it your way...*beams...
If you would care to put all my pictures of the upstairs dormitory at the orphanage side by side...again - there would have to be some fairly hectic explaining needed...*falls over...
Does Father Denker have his ducks in a row in the unlikely event that his Sisters query the goings on? You give him a few more gifts and some priming and he will have it down pat fosho....*hawks...
Wednesday turned out to be a pretty memorable day from the outset...
An almighty bang sometime after 6.00am, saw a ring-necked dove nosedive straight through the glass of our bedroom picture window...
The dove survived to fly away, the window obviously didn't ...*frowns...
A good deal of the day then involved having the window mended...
It turned out the menders were Zoners through and through, and know everyone that's anyone round here...*grins..
He insisted on calling Earl Barnabas, Michael - and said that as the guy pays his taxes he is okay...*falls over laughing... Not the first time our Druglord has been described as some sort of Robin Hood character, and won't be the last either...*cackles.... Definitely someone that the Glassman admires....
That seems to have been the same day I read in myadsl the throwaway postscript by voda3 "ic, pm me your residential address"...*falls over choking...
and yet another one bites the dust! Telkom and Vodacom in competition? Oh please! Don't make me laugh.... In the matter of the Big Brother Project, they couldn't be cosier together...*grins...
Thursday, and we hit the road to find Westville Mall had been treated to a blackout...*shakes it's head.... Amazing to find that, for the most part, shopowners have already reached a level of resigned acceptance....*hawks...
A noteworthy runoff from Sabeera's property at No. 18 Harris Crescent when we returned and Missus Kazee a little further up, is continuing to contribute to the loss of a great deal of water and now the degradation of the road surface itself...*shrugs...
Interesting to note that my cell signal suddenly vanished overnight on Wednesday. It returned just as suddenly, fully, at some point midday Thursday...*smiles...
Was that the same time that the GameWrecker's little portable radio (the one we lost temporarily along with the DSTV dish and the Microwave) went on the blink again?
Only later did I find that Basil's house alarm system had also gone from working perfectly, to refusing to accept the punch-in code overnight...
Without a doubt these occurrences are all linked, and I have to wonder whether our Controller would care to compensate these struggling pensioners with Chubb's astronomical R385 callout fee? No? *keels over...
Clearly the fumblings and ensuing damage caused to residents assets is yet another good reason for the entire Project to be cloaked in secrecy....*sigh...
Whether this ongoing damage occurs in other neighbourhoods, or is restricted to the Captain Of Courage and his short fuse, is debateble....*grins...
Mon Capitano's property has once again been a hive of activity...*startled.... Yet another deck has been erected...
A gang of wekkers toiled endlessly all day yesterday and will doubtless return today.... We are talking megabucks here fosho...*chokes...
Our system has continued to dip constantly though oddly, it sits rock steady this morning at 3.45am..curious...
There are now countless threads on the myadsl forum regarding the power cuts....
Unsurprisingly, any poster suggesting even remotely that there could be more to the blackouts than the official lies given, is shot down immediately as a conspiracy theorist...*laughing...
The neighbourhoods that suffer repeated cuts should surely be able to see the diggers working and streetlights left on during the day? The huge water runoffs and a chopper constantly overhead? *non-plussed....
It may well be that the only readers of my inarticulate blog are already on board this wondrous gravy train, making it no more than chaff in the wind....*cackles...
Later:
At 5.30am the orphanage foyer aerial, the belltower aerial, my Masters 2 aerials visible and the bright orange one stuck over on Godfreys servant's quarters, are all still active....
The streetlights are out, but the three control poles have been activated for the day... Just another day here in Paradise...*grins... A solitary Egyptian goose sits atop the mothership, honking loudly before take-off.....
Later:
7.45am and the chainsaw kicks in to life next door. The gates stand open....
I text Missus Courageous to say she can send the pups over...
Alas - they've long since vanished....Legged it for parts unknown? *shakes it's head....
As they clearly don't merit being on anyones priority list, this is hardly surprising... While my concern clearly causes the ChickenKing much merriment and glee (after all, this is precisely why his investment has paid off so handsomely) it also serves to reinforce my opinion of mon Capitano's truly dysfunctional personality...*sigh...
Did the sudden pull out by the Government Portnet planners to expand the container base at Durban Harbour have anything to do with the death of so many fish in the Bay? Is this linked in any way to the Big Brother Project?
These days, the minute Herr Doktor Sutcliffe opens his mouth, I smell corruption involved...*spits..
That he blithely ascribes the deterioration of road surfaces to the high rainfall is a joke surely? What exactly does he think the deliberate water runoffs are going to do? *looks at the road in front of Missus Kazees house...
Everywhere I go in the Zone and beyond, there is deliberate water wasteage eroding road surfaces... high rainfall se VOET!!!!
Picture if you will my Controller sat on a golden throne atop his new deck (stuck precariously at the top of his driveway) waving a jewel-encrusted Port-a-Light to the GateKeepers....*keels over laughing...
I have been paying way too much attention to Bali's streetlight, prettily done out as it is with its tiny red light...
My picture of the latest deck installed, shows Basil's pole here, which would now leave any halfway decently dressed Christmas tree in the shade!!
More digging going on next to the DSLAM up by Sherwood Hall see here...
The artful use of a large white piece of plastic hooked over the Senior Boys Hostel fence at a strategic point, had me chuckling... it began life as what I thought was a white packet merely blown by a strong wind, but as usual, overkill decrees that it is something rather more than that....*beams...
The press today is about Eskom and yet more Eskom....*vomits...
The half-truths and outright lies continue... did they mistakenly assume that our Big Brother Project would be installed as smoothly as that of first world countries? *collapses laughing...
They failed to add corruption into the equation and chaos ensues fosho....
Anyone heard of the Albaraka Bank and where they come from? *interested...
Tis they who have so graciously donated an sms portal system to the Westville residents and now to the Zone....
Should I be charmed by their philanthropic gesture, or sadly, cynically wary of such largesse?
Later;
Pepsi and Cola spent the day here yesterday, with all the attention they could want...
Whether their disappearance this morning has been deliberately engineered or not, who among you gives a tinker's?
For Missus C to trot out the "it was my fault, I opened the gates" smells of the usual loyalista cover-up for the Lord of the Fowl...*shrugs... Whatever...
I stood and watched at 11.40am as their electric gates were finally closed, causing the rebellious Courser bakkie inside the garage to shriek momentarily.... barn doors indeed....
I muse again that it certainly takes a 'different' kind of being to sink to using dumb creatures as a means to a peurile end...*shrugs and applauds...
As I spied that tiny tail attached to my cursor when I logged in here - dare I assume my Master was temporarily unavailable? *cackles...
Peace julle...
